the story shapes satrapi's experience because she doesn't just start breaking the rules and traditions of her country out of nowhere, she was inspired by what her uncles and grandpas did which allow her to become very rebellious and hard-headed. without knowing about her uncles and grandpas, she would be a total different person. that relates to every human being in this planet, sometimes we have a important characteristic hidden under us, we just need a little push to show it. in satrapi's case, the experience of his uncle and grandpa gave her a push.

i agree with the statement that satrapi has grown into a prophet but unintentionally. her stories vividly exposes social injustices in Iran. her character inspires people to rebel against oppression no matter what the cost is. she didn't intend to prophesize her obssesion to stop social injustices or things that she didn't agree with but her actions such as: protesting, going against the dress code, questioning her teachers suggest that honor and dignity is more important than money and anything else. she didn't have to protest, her parents had money, she could go anywhere she wanted to but she decided to fight for her honor and pride.

the book suggest that social classes in India are totally unfair, people make decisions for other people. satrapi's maid is a maid because she was born in a certain family and she not allow to do what she wants to do, people are put into situation that they don't want to and they can't control it. satrapi's maid not being able to fall in love with their neighbor because of the social class highlights the lack of control the lower social class have in terms of who they marry and how to live their life; the book criticizes it.
